CON-VERSION

'Family is just another word for love. People don’t think you can choose either one. What do you think?’

CON-VERSION is a genre-defying exploration of conversion practices and their effects on an ordinary British family.
Tonight is a special night – Son is returning home after a year of queer conversion, kindly paid for by Mother and Father. Meanwhile, Sister is hiding a devastating truth. Father is trying to get Mother to talk to him. Mother is laying her trap.
And The Neighbour’s Boy is lingering on the garden fence, hoping to see Son one more time.
Filled with misdirects, thrills and spectacle, CON-VERSION shines a light on the horror of trying to change your intrinsic self. A unique story of truth, love and our personal prisons.

CON-VERSION debuted at VAULT Festival 2023, where it was shortlisted for the VAULT Five and nominated for VAULT's Show Of the Week.
