A PARTNERSHIP
‘We’re not normal, Zach. So why are we trying to be?’
Can two men in present-day London have a long-lasting, monogamous relationship? A PARTNERSHIP, a relationship comedy-drama featuring two men, has no angels, no AIDS and no other characters – it looks into the changing face of homophobia, as partners Ally and Zach are forced to have a conversation five years in the making, and finally make a decision about their future. In real-time, on the eve of Ally’s 30th birthday, he and Zach question whether we can – or should – be ‘normal,’ as internalised homophobia casts a silent shadow over their relationship.

A PARTNERSHIP premiered at Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2019, securing Theatre Weekly's Best Fringe Debut and a host of four- and five star reviews, as well as being longlisted for the Bruntwood Prize and shortlisted for the Sit-Up Award. It transferred to Theatre503 in October 2019 where it secured an Off West End Commendation. The show toured nine venues in 2022, including Sheffield Theatres, Edge Theatre Manchester, Lighthouse Poole and King's Head Theatre.
